"P O W E R W I T H I N"
The "power within" reading list, I call it. My goal is to harness my inner greatness and channel it into great success outwardly this season. (You should always have goals when reading) This helps filter what you spend your time reading. Here is a list of what I am currently reading to help me stay on track and at the top of my game for work, life and personal development. I am a firm believer in putting forth your best and having learned the hard way, so many lessons about leaving to chance your future goals, dreams and inner peace, I have learned that you actually have to curate the life you want!
A lot of these books are read daily, or over an extended period of time as oppose to in a few days or one sitting. I personally like to take my time with books, take notes, figure out ways to apply it to my daily life and journal my experiences doing so. I just finished reading Style by Lauren Conrad today and am eagerly awaiting The 5 Love languages, The artist's way and 101: Blueprint of a swank life. All books that I have been meaning to read/finish, but haven't scheduled the time until now.
No matter what field you're in, there is no substituting experience for more knowledge. I have been a stylist and wardrobe coordinator for 10 years now and really do learn new things everyday. Whether it's about efficiency, organization, style, or just working with differing personalities. The best part is all my hard work and effort are backed by the one who put it all inside me to begin with; God. I could not do any of this without seeking His wisdom daily. Enjoy my picks! Let me know your own experiences with reading for your own growth. If any of you have read these books, I'd love to know what insight you've personally received from them. Happy #weekendvibes!
